INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
In individual therapy our focus will be on the development of a one-to-one therapeutic trust partnership. I believe in encouraging my clients to talk openly about themselves and explore their needs and direction for therapy on day one. I do this in an effort to establish clinical and personal goals/needs in a safe, caring and encouraging environment. I believe the more self-aware a person becomes, the better decisions he/she will make. If you choose Barnett Counseling Services, we will work together from the first session and strive to find the balance of acknowledging successes and what is working well for you in your life. We will identify challenges you wish to make that will result in positive change for you, your family and your life. We will explore your narrative through processing as well as internal exploration of your thoughts, feelings, beliefs and honor your pathway to a new narrative that honors your clinical goals. I pride myself on honoring every client’s cultural, religious, and personal beliefs in therapy.
